The Candelabra lily (Brunsvigia grandiflora). One of 4 Brunvigias that are part of the rich and diverse Drakensberg botanical kingdom. They grow in loose colonies in unspoiled grasslands in the Drakensberg foothills. These exquisite lilies flower irregularly. This is only the 3rd time that these particular plants have flowered in the 22 years we have been here. they adorn a small rocky ridge that runs down from the house to the lake edge. Piscator non solum piscatur!!!
