CAPE WAGTAIL (Motacilla capensis). Often seen around rivers and streams. These once common birds are under threat and have seen a severe decline in numbers. Feeding on small moths, catterpillars and other inverterbrates, they fall prey to cumulations of toxins ingesting pesticides in the insects they feed off in domestic gardens.

    That is why I refuse to use any pesticides in my house or garden.

    right. me too. but there's 6 and a half billion sod-suckers out there who either don't know or don't give a hoot. now, if the world could only rid itself of homo sapiens... the fundamental threat to all biodiversity would be gone and it would heal in no time at all (big stupid smily face icon thingy)
