Very very good post Wiolf. It's time someone said what everyone is thinking. I'm afraid I agree with you, but simply don't have the balls to say so. Thank heavens that I am not involved in that one. A very sad reflection of competition fishing, that some of us have tried so hard to uplift the image of. It seems that it is a loosing battle, and a very poor example to the juniors who did everything with committment and pride. A sad day indeed for fly fishing in SA
thanks warren, in a previous incarnation a had a phot studio in Jozzie. Currently I'm using a Nikon D3 with a bunch of old lenses acquired between 30-40 years ago. they're all analogue lenses (not cpu), so I'm still in a realm where everything from focus to selection of aperture/shutter settings is manual. I prefer it that way. Figure I'm a better photographer than the Korean hiding in the back of the camera.... by the way, for those with an interest in photography, there is a "PHOTO WORKSHOP WITH WOLF thread somewhere under general.
Hi Surly, I was just looking at your photos and you have some fantastic shots there. I take it you are into photography? I also love shooting with the camera and am using a Canon 400D with a 70-300mm tamron lens, and the 18-55mm kit lens. Love it. I also recently acquired an Olympus 1030sw to carry around in my pocket while fish, etc. What camera are you using? I look forward to more photos. Cheers, Warren
