I have just double checked the packs I have and they were R21.95 and contain at least 50 feathers. They are sold under the "hooked on fly tying" brand - sort of has a picture of a stream on the pack and the logo is a black and white vice. Quite a few shops up here carry the brand but buying online might not be possible. As I mentioned they arent the greatest quality but for the price they are perfect for dubbing, stripping and just generally experimenting with.
I'm pretty sure this has been said many times before but all waterfowl are a potential source for CDC as cdc feathers are simply the feathers just aove the tail, over the preen gland. CDC translated basically means ducks bum and what makes the feathers so special is their micro structure. Normal waterfowl feathers, marabou, filoplumes etc arent going to come close to CDC.
