I've seen this fly fished for red fish. What species will you target here with it ?
Cheers
I wanna tie a few up first and see what the action is like first, but I had kob in mind!!
I think they will work for Bass, and even trout, yes for kob, for leeries you need a faster retrieve, but this fly only works well under a slow retrieve. Which will be perfect for kob
Ya, leerie was another thought. As I say I need to see its movement for myself, but I was going to lengthen it and make it shallower. Maybe even bend it into an 'S' like a Zara Spook! Just need to find some cheap Mylar and some time!
And another thought... vertical jigging?? Hmmmm...
Besides the great link provided by Pierre, here are a couple of links on Fly Talk;

Some of these links lead to further links.
Very nice help that link. Includes even printouts for the body shape and the bend of the hook. I'm tying a few for myself. I wonder how small you can go while still having the same action. I'm sure this must work for trout. I know they love a meps spinner. This fly reminds me of one.
