Orange River Yellows
If anyone is serious about catching really decent Yellows in some of the most remote and unfished stretches of the Orange, give me a call. I have exclusive rights on some of the very best parts of the river. I can provide limited access for a small number of anglers together with self catering accomodation near Prieska. Recently a group from Mpumalanga landed and released 81 yellows over four days fishing. I only allow four groups of anglers each year. Tony. Ph 0533540610 or kleinboetattelkomsa.net

Tony, can you post some pictures of these river areas?

Since we are sharing .... Got invited to a place about 40 minutes out of Aliwal on the Orange. Clear(ish) water, perfect yellowfish apparently. Guy whom I braaied with yesterday hooked a largemouth of "around a meter long" there last weekend. Got many smallmouth of "3 - 4kg". So ja, if the weather gets decent we'll go and check it out!!

I also found a gem which I haven't heard much about, not on the forum anyway. In my travels to clients (which now extends to the western reaches of the North West), i have discovered the Elands river in places most people don't go. km's upon km's of truly pristine waters with no fishing pressure whatsoever. Running through what is mostly private land. Some of which I have free reigning access to now.
With some investigation I have found this river to hold a healthy population of fish and plan to discover all species that this river holds. a Very exciting time of discovery lies ahead, with some if not most of these waters never fished before.

Orange river Yellows
Hi Werner,
I will post some pickies shortly. Unfortunately I am on dialup so the pickies will be fairly small. If you want a personal reference I can point you in the direction of a gentleman who visited us a few weeks ago . Pm me regards.:)Tony

Tony,
What the heck are you doing on dialup, that was fashion like 15 years ago. An ADSL modem will only set you back about 300 bucks.
What about 3G?

Herewith Pickies (I hope) If I cannot get them to load may I send them via email.? re the dial up. Talk to Telkom please. Dial up is the only system available in the rural comunities in the Northern Cape. A bit of a change after London with 12 meg!

They can hook you up with ISDN on those lines. Talk to telkom. will pm my email

Hi,wernerm, In a way you are quite right re the ISDN . Howerver, since we are the only internet user in the whole village, Telkom will not install the cable etc jusyt for one consumer. So when are you coming to fisH? I kid you not, I don't believe you will find better hospitality or fishing in South Africa. All for R200.00 per person per day.All in. accomodation, rod fees, the lot.
