Default Places to fish on the Vaal

    Hi Guys

I'm looking for good places to fish on the vaal river not too far from Joburg. Any recommendations?

I fish Woelwaters but I'm looking for somewhere new.

    Thank you!

There is an entire thread called VAAL RIVER UPDATE! You will find most, if not all the venues there and certainly the more popular venues!

There is a little booklet available at most fishing shops, called MAKATOERI, of which there are 2 versions. Vaal Dam venues, and then Vaal River venues.

They are great little booklets with all the public access venues in them, with directions and what facilities are available.

For the price it is a valuable source of info.
