I am off to a small place called Phuthaditjaba for a few days work next week. From what i hear and see on a map it is not so far from Sterkies.

What advice would/could/can you educated gents give this fluffy hippo before he goes wallowing around in search of some good fishing.

If all goes according to plan i will also spend a few days in the cape shortly. Looking forward to that, havent been down there in almost a year.

Wade, you will right by Sterkies. I would go the Nature Reserve chalets area, ( entrance from the Bergville/ Durban road. Apparantly there are some nice drop offs within walking distance.
Give Michael a call, he knows Sterkies much better than I do.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.

Herman, this is the type of area that was most productive this December at Sterkies. In the pic I'm standing on a little rock at the water edge, the drop-off is maybe 9 metres there, almost straight down in front of me. Can't even see the bottom. Dry and dropper, about 1.5m apart. Sheer ledge too...takes some mountaneering to get to the spots!
