Well done and good on you restoring something dear to someone.
I am sure the owner loves it -I am just not totally convinced by this section. I think some areas looks like it was dipped in a bucket of Woodoc.
    Might be the pic though.

But weel done and I hope the owner is very happy that it will be passed on to another gerneration.

Thanks man!! As for the picture, definitely does not do it justice. I have already given the rod to the owner and could not take more pics. I used Danish oil on the wood.. I'm not entirely happy with the pictures, but cannot take anymore. But I'm a bit of a perfectionist and would certainly not dip a rod into Woodoc! haha

Swamp Donkie, we mean Rabbit, aka Anton, brought the rod to the shop today.

    Very Very COOL....

Well Done on the referb, you've given that stick a whole new life...

It's going to be a pleasure to fish it and will be around for a long time.

Korrie, it is actually amazing if you how far rods have come along. If I look at the butt section of the rod, it is extremely thick compared with the rods nowadays.. Threading the wooden grip and spacer posed a few challenges, but that's what made it interesting. Even the entry level rods these days are a lot thinner at the butt section. Natural progression in technology I guess..

But as you said, his son may put it up and laugh, but at least he'll be able to appreciate what he gets to fish!
