Sorry to raise the Dad issue but I'd like to say...

For a long time in my life my old man and I didi not quite see eye to eye. As time passed and we both got older things changed and we started to chat again.

Then not so long ago we went tiger fishing together (reminded me of a trip to zambizi a long time ago). Even if I was not lucky enough to get 4 or 5 nice kritters it would still have been one of the best memories I will have to grow old with.

Yes, we may say things and feel things that are not "appreciatable" but that is life. One day it will all be over and you don't wan to be saying "if only".

Live while you can, love while you can and fish when you can
The best day to go fishing is any day that ends in a "y"

    Getting back on topic..

Can anyone recommend someone who guides Sterkies with a boat? I want to head out that way with my brother and dad for my birthday, so have a bit of cash to spend.

How is the fishing there this time of year btw?

    See this thread. http://www.flytalk.co.za/forum/showthread.php?t=5701

If you need Dennis DeKlerks number, after checking the classified ads in the f/f mags, then drop me a pm.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.

Fishing is starting to cook. You could do worse getting hold of Dave Weaver ... if you search the forum you will find his contact details. he's pretty busy this time of year though, so you might need to fish midweek.

Thanks Firephish and Herman. Had a scan of that thread too Herman.

I'll be sure to give Dave a call in the morning!
