Default Which Reel 1-2wt or 2-3wt

So got my 2wt rod from Derek Smith, WOW, stunning rod, i am suprised at how easy it loads line, i am in the market for a new reel for the rod as my current reel does not fit in the reel seat snuggly, its an old reel which i love but has a very think seat(is seat the right word) and only just fits on the rod.....So my question is do i buy a 1-2wt or a 2-3wt and which reel should i buy, not worried about cost just want the right fit.

The Vision GT 24 is a good opion Nic.
Also, if your budget is tight, take a look a the Diawa Lochmor 100.
    AFAIK, they're both 2wt reels.

Great choice but i think thats more of a reel for yellowcarp rod,i think the drags a bit harsh for trout.

If I have this right, the 1wt/2wt or 2wt/3wt thing was typically found on "cheaper" brands.
Cant remember the exact stats, but I think it was merely just overlining the rod.

IMHO, if you get a 3wt, naturally, you can put a 2wt line on it, you will only need to add a few more yards of backing to fill the spool. It might only be a few grams heavier too, but I doubt you will notice the weight difference when you are fishing.
