If I'm wrong I'm wrong but it looks to me that you were gunning the spawning beds and ended up with a fat female. That spot is THE prime area for yellows spawning so I can only wonder. Nice fish anyways!

My personal best is a specimen of 7.2 kg's caught in a small stream, it almost swallowed my reel when posing for the pic
Fishing is just my thing. I don't know what it is but it seems that i just can't get enough of it.

I had to give it the camera to get it away from my reel.

Sometimes we get Paranoic about spawning beds.
THEY ARE ONLY SPAWNING BEDS WHEN THE FISH ARE SPAWNING AND 2 WEEKS AFTER THAT.

After the spawn, they are shin deep waters which are not worth fishing anyway.

Therefore anyone casting a line into shin deep waters over pebble beds, is either fishing the spawning fish and needs to be "shot, hung. drawn and quartered " or is wasting his time when the fish are not spawning.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.

I'm not paranoid Herman, I know Eendekuil better than any of the people that contributed to this thread and only second to HB so please dont give me that BS about shin deep water. You don't even fish EK so how on earth would you know about spawning habits at said venue? With your experience you should know spawning times differ at times of year AND VENUES. It's freakin high time someone said something about idiotic posts and pics.

Ps.For your information in previous years Tim used to cordon off that area from late September.I wonder why?
