Default What is your biggest Largemouth on fly?

    Following the biggest smallmouth thread.....

A largemouth yellow has some mystique, charisma and attitude. If I could compare it to other fish a Musslecracker, GT and White Steenbras comes to mind. This fish just have something other fish don't have.

My best cracker and steenbras were just short of 10kg, the take of a largie compares in the same class. Truly a special fish, before I die I will always will be on the hunt for a 10kg specimen. This fish had an overall length of 80cm and a solid girth, probably in the 5-6kg range, he knew what he wanted when he took the fly, truly a very special moment.

Like to see some more pics from fellow largie hunters!

    10lb (4.5kg), followed by a 3.3kg (7.3lb) and a 7lb.

I have a digital scale that I regularly check for accuracy and I will normally weigh 3 times [in quick succession] to double-check weight and the scale's repeatability.

The 10lb and 7lb was whilst being guided by Ian Couryer; this past season I got the 3.3kg whilst out with a forum member.

It is an awesome species and is ADDICTIVE
