Grey or black bodies. Just vary the leg colour depending on whether I want natural or attractor.

Do you get a hopper in a nymph pattern, if so let me know.

When ever I go and fish, and the fishing is tough or getting refusals etc.

I think about a short conversation I once had with my Czech friend, while he was catching the fish and I did not and I asked him what fly, color he was using.

His reply was, "it is not the fly that catches the fish but your head and your hands".

That was an epiphany for me. Yes, you will get times when the fish HOME or ZOOM into one specific fly, but for the most it is "your hands and head that catches the fish" not the color or the fly, the size etc.

If it acts like food, looks like food, and it is presented right, the fish will eat it.

I only really use the Ma Se Hoppers.

Most succesful for me have had orange bodies with grizzly hackle but i also like a full black body.
