    Default Advice please

    Heading out to Brookwood at sparrows tomorrow morning any advise on patterns?

    Blanked out twice before at Brookwood.

    haha...i've heard of chartreuse and white and all white cat's whiskers doing well there...if your good at midging, i'd midge the pools. 3 flies, 1m apart, floating line and let the flies drift slowly along. can use nymphs, buzzers, bloodworms etc for this.

    what have you tried there the past 2 times?

    I suspect what all newbees use: WOOLY BUGGERS and nyphs, various colours.

    Should I spray floatant on the flies?

    Best bet would be wooly buggers and bunny fur leeches....best for the stockies in a place like brookwood...fish on a sinking line with slow short retrieves...weather is getting cooler now so the fish should be a bit more active...if u haven't got anything in the first hour ur best bet would be to pack it in and hit the pub
