Default Vice Choice. Dynaking Vs Jay Vs Renzetti

Hi guys im in the market for a new vice and struggling with the decision. Narrowed it down to three:

Dynaking ultimate indexer (great for big flies)

    J-Vice (that local charm)

    Renzetti (beautiful)

Im not asking which is best. I just want to know which you prefer? I only really tie saltwater flies.

    Cheers.

Get the Renzetti with Saltwater base as well the lap extension, the ultimate in comfort! With it's awesome jaws you can tie any size fly without having to change anything. My only "issue" is that because of the many brass components it gets dirty quick so be prepared to clean it regularly. Other than that it's a no brainer!

I have never used any of the other ones but the Jvice is awesome and back up service is very personal with jay helping you directly. I have big hands and the goose net helps me do fine detail withou getting tired. Plus I think there is one on sale on the forum at the moment.

Any way just my opinion, I have a J vice and will never look back.

Peter what is your solution when tying Tube flies? That is if you do or wanting to in the future.

How come the Barracuda is not on the list?

Absolutely Mario! I have the Barracuda and the J-Vice and they are bothe great. The J-Vice is probably aesthetically better looking and better for smaller hook sizes and flies, where I find the Barracuda jaws easier to reset and load. Probably more robust as well.

I have quite a few friends that use the Cuda to tie saltwater flies - and they rate it VERY highly. As you mentioned as well, many, many saltwater trips later the Cuda is still in fine nick!

I have the C&F Reference vice, packed full of features. I will never have to buy another vice. If i didnt get this, the J-Vice would have been a very close second choice.
