The Orange
The Orange was fairly quiet as far as the fishing was concerned. The rapids held fewer fish and we picked up most of the fish in stiller water. The most effective flies were caddis green rock worms, chartreuse brassies and chartreuse atomic worms. My hyper-realistic mielie imitation accounted for the most fish including 4 or 5 small largemouths The bird life was great as usual with Fish Eagles, Pied Kingfishers and a variety of Herons making an appearance. The Malachite Kingfishers were very tame and often landed on your rod - tried like hell to get a decent picture but failed Will post some pics once I have sorted them.
“Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bullshit, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute - I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you” ― Lemmy Kilmister
