    Default Is the blesbok still fishable?

    I heard it has become very dirty . Does anyone know if the fishing is still ok? and if not does anyone know a river that i can target sm yellows close to joburg besides the vaal ?

    Wortha try.. People do tend to catch there in the winter months. A little further is the Suikerbos.. If you can get access somehow, there are yellows.

    The blesbok was my favourite winter fishing venue . I might have to go there just to see whats happening

    Me and Andre tried Heidelberg two weeks ago but the water is dirty and we did not have success.
    Next time we will go to Nigel behind the stadium. The water is clear and there are one or two deeper pools to try.

    Ahh thanks Jannie , by the way my Mom and I managed to get some really nice river just out side of Dullstroom for the club

    It all depends on where on the Blesbok you want to fish.

    Just go and try, that is after all how we learn.

    The water behind the stadium (rugby club) is definitely fishable..and you will find quite a bit of ffmen there catching smallies. I have caught bass and barbel there as well.
