alright guys, this is my new pattern i've done for the sardine run, which unfortunately seems to have died again before it got to durbs. i'm going down this eve, and will probaby throw it anyways just in case...
materials:
hook: long shank strong hook. this SBS is on a Gama
tail: kinky fibre in white, silver and black
body: silver brush 1inch
eyes: pseudo eyes (red ones for red-eye sard)
weight: 5-10 wraps of lead, depending on your taste
thread: white or red
step 1 - put hook in vice and tie on thread

step 2 - wrap the lead on the upper middle of the shank

step 4 - tie in a length of olive kinky fibre (for a sardine, silver) ontop of the white

step 5 - tie in a small amount of black kinky fibre ontop of the olive

step 6 - tie in your brush of choice. here i use a 1 inch olive brush (for sardine use silver brush)

step 7 - palmer the brush forwards to just behind the hook eye and tie off.

step 8 - use a brush and brush the fibres out to get any trapped fibres.

step 9 - divide the head (brush) in half along the shank of the hook and pull it up ontop of the shank and down below the shank

step 10 - trim the brush to shape

step 11 - put some epoxy on the back of the eyes and stick on. we want it to stick close to the shank, so i use a clothes peg to hold them in place. leave to dry.

step 12 - use markers to colour in the back and add the spots and stripes.

step 12 - do a final trim to the shape you want
