Default Shamemrs CDC Woolly Bugger SBS

    Recipe
Thread – Danvilles Flymaster 6/0 Black
    Gama B10S Hook
    Weighting – Lead as desired
Tail – Red Marabou, White and Black Barred and Black
    Tail Support – Orange Foam
    Body – Peacock Ice Dub
    Thorax – Golden Ice Dub
    Flash – Thin Gold Wing’nFlash
Hackle – Grizzly Hackle to suit hook
Collar – Natural (Grey) CDC Feather
    Head – Fluorescent Orange Thread

    Instructions:
Step 1: Clamp and Dress Hook
Step 2: Cut small piece of foam with point on one end
Step 3: Tie in foam with pointed end on the bend of the hook and trim as in picture, this is to serve as stabiliser for tail, same function as a loop.
Step 4: Wrap some lead on the shank for some weight
Step 5: Take a clump of Marabou, nice pointy fibres, measure against shank, tie in
Step 6: Tie in a few strands of Wing’nFlash, not too much
Step 7: Tie in some Barred Marabou for the middle layer of the tail
Step 8: Tie in a small clump of black marabou on the top section to finish off tail, again, nice pointy fibres same length as hook shank.
Step 9: Tie in Some strands of Wing’nFlash on both sides of the tail
Step 10: Now, select a nice grizzly hackle, make sure fibres are in proportion with hook, don’t want them too long
Step 11: Tie in Hackle by the tips just in front of the tail
Step 12: Make a dubbing noodle with the Peacock Ice dubbing for the body
Step 13: Take some of the Golden coloured dubbing for the thorax section
Step 14: Palmer the Hackle forward and tie off
Step 15: Select a nice CDC feather with nice long fibres, tie in by the tips just in front of the tied off hackle. Palmer in as the Collar.
Step 16: Whip Finish, finish the fly with the Fluorescent thread to act as a trigger.

    Fly done!

Hi Shammers, well done. What is the main species you will target? Or is it a general all round bugger?

Nice fly bro, you should get sick more often. Apparently these buggers work great tied behind a rimpala.

Nice tie Jules. All it needs is a mepps spinner blade in the front.
