Come on Korrie. Can't leave us hanging like this. Just some photos please. It's nearly stream season, then there'll be no time for stillwater crabs.

a photo or 2, with some more changes.
The Pinchers have more movement, after seeing another pattern.
The legs with the "wire technique"
The eyes are from Fishi
I need to add a bit of color, but the permanent marker was dry, so will do that a bit later

Very very nice Korrie. Those pincers look like they'll have lovely movement.
Behold the fisherman. he riseth early in the morning and disturbeth the whole household. mighty are his preperations. he goes forth full of hope and when the day is ended, he returneth smelling of strong drink and the truth is not with him. originator unknown.

Have not tried with these legs, The soft rubber legs was no problem.
I will do this afternoon, a bit of casting in a dam and check it out after 20 or 30 casts.
If there is no twisting after 30 cast, it should be fine.

Rols
I stole the pincher idea from another crab pattern, "for the movement"
But with all the movement, I am not sure if the fish will take the crab pattern as a crab or just out of curiosity because of the movement.
Guess I will never know.
Guess the "GIS" principle should apply.

Nice one Korrie. Two suggestions if I may. The incorporation of a tiny swivel to eliminate tippet twist, and since crabs tend to crawl around sidewards, perhaps you could try rotating the hook 90 deg......unless you're fishing static that is, on a side drift.

Hi Chris
I tried the side ways crab pattern in my earlier versions, but it twisted the line, as it is very difficult to get the balance with an A symmetric pattern.
For competitions, we cannot use swivels.
the fish don't really mind if a crab is moving backwards.
When a crab goes into defence mode, it stands on its legs and it faces the "enemy" almost rearing up.
With the Dumb-bell eyes near the eye of the hook, it creates this "rearing" stance.
