This is also the reason woven flies work.. They may be time consuming but they provide the fisherman/tier to apply contrast.. dark upper body with say white on the bottom.. I believe this is very effective.. When I have some time, I'll tie up a few and post some pics.. Would work well on the caddis patterns

White is awesome in specific conditions / situations like this lil rascal in a caddis hatch, run for cover cause it creates complete mayhem!

Was wondering how long it would take you to comment in this thread - I know you've been using white tungsten beads on your big control flies for ages!
