5wt GPX line fit for saltwater use????

Hey guys

Quick question...

Ive got a 5wt Sci-Angler GPX line which is a fresh water line if im correct. Can I use it in the salt? I want to catch the small leerie on it coz my 9wt is a bit over kill. Will the salt stuff the line up? I was my lines with clean water after every use.
