Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy a 10ft rod for the streams, been told by a few people to go for the streamflex. Anyone looking to get rid of streamflex or similair class rod?
Cheers

i've got a stealth infinity 10ft 3wt and its a really nice rod . Dan Factor also uses his for dry fly
The infinity is an awesome rod! It works well with both nymphs and dry...
Catch and Release fishing is a lot like golf. You don't have to eat the ball to have a good time...
if you are looking to buy the stealth infinity give ganis in witbank a call. they generally have the best prices..(they will courier it to you) I know stealth dont have any 4wt 10' in stock but should be getting new stock in the next 2 weeks.
hope this helps !
I have just received my Hardy Zenith 10ft 3wt. I also have a Stealth Infinity 10ft 3wt & a friend has a Sage ESN 10ft 3wt.
We handled & cast all 3 rods yesterday.
NOTE - The differences between all three rods are generally slight. No rod was "bad" at anything.
While we could tell the differences when comparing one rod to the other two, all were good rods in their own right.
Hardy Zenith - Suggested Retail R7,000 (approx)
- Second lightest.
- Lightest swing weight. (in-hand feel)
- Most accurate.
- Casting - best over close, medium & long distances.
- Best overall.
- Best accuracy & distance.
- Most powerful.
Sage ESN - Suggested Retail R6,600
- Lightest.
- Second lightest swing weight (in-hand feel).
- Second most accurate.
- Casting - second best over close & medium distances. Worst over long distance.
- Most sensitive.
- Least powerful.
Stealth Infinity - Suggested Retail R2895- Heaviest.
- Heaviest swing weight (in-hand feel).
- Least accurate.
- Casting - worst over close & medium distances. Second best over long distance.
- Best value for money.
- Good all-round rod.
What stood out in the test was how good a rod the Stealth Infinity is for less than half the price of the others. While the Zenith can do it all very well without compromise and the ESN lives up to it's name for being the most sensitive for French Nymphing, the Infinity was right up there with the other two.
I would love to redo this with a 10ft 3wt Greys Streamflex added to the mix (original Streamflex and/or XF2 Streamflex and/or XF2 Streamflex Plus).
Anyone in JHB who has and would like to participate, let me know.
