    Default What 2wt?

    Quick question,
Looking at at a 2 or 3wt rod.
Have singled out the tfo finesse or the xplorer t50....any opinions would be appreciated.

    IMO:
    Shorter rod- Stealth Magnum 8 1/2ft 3wt
    Long Rod - Stealth Infinity 10ft 3wt

    ...sorry, my bad.
Would be for small berg streams.
    Casting distance not too essential.
    Pref a 7-7'6ft

    I would still suggest a longer rod - 8 1/2ft.
BUT if you really want a short rod, I like capable rods, so I'd say try get a Stealth Magnum 7 1/2ft 2wt. Suggest you fish this with a 3wt line, which helps load faster for close-in casts.
    BUT
There are lots of options, just make sure you CAST them with appropriate line, leader & maybe fly at the distance you expect to fish them.

Have a look at TFO - they have a very comprehensive range and are very well priced. With people like Lefty Kreh, Gary Loomis and Flip Pallot involved you don't get a better pedigree?

I had the TFO finesse 2wt, and was very happy with the rod, however it suites my slow casting style. It is also known as the noodle when fishing with friends. Its ultra soft, not great in wind, but I loved that little rod.

I upgraded to some sage rods I got at a good deal, and gifted it to Chev (didn't want to see it sit in the corner) - Maybe Chevvy can give a review too?

Its a very capable dry rod at short to med distance, however two heavy nymphs becomes a casting issue.
