    You forgot Elbč, or does that fall under a Loomis vote???

    Sorry about that Mario, I completely forgot that Elbe is a popular rod here in SA, I tried for the most talked about brands, so lets include Elbe as a G.Loomis vote then.

    Hahahahahhaaa.......good one, lets bunch the Horizon guys with Sage then. The T&T guys will have to go together with Greys....oh wait...Greys not there either, lets put them with hardy.........

    I think if we did that, the list would be very short. Also we might :wink:need an Atlas... Korean, and Tiawanese....who knows.....Are they Chinese???

    There is a very slight difference between top rods.What really sets them apart though is backup service,and more so years down the line,when models get replaced etc and you have a breakage.

    I think that is why sage has a good name,and also why explorer do so well.Good backup service.
    I am a huge Stcroix fan and really think they make superb rods,especially the legend elite and ultra.I have yet to break one and test their service(touch wood i never do break it).

    Hi Zoran Agreed I have a Epic Fiberglass 6# 8 1/2 4 piece, also nude wrapping similar to yours in fact Beautiful to fish with and good looking as well I use mine mainly on the Vaal It has over the last year become my fav rod
