    Default Accomodation Vanderkloof Dam

We're going down to the Cape and I would like to stop over at Vanderkloof Dam. Can anybody recommend a venue in the area?

Haven't stayed there but have researched this myself and Pride Rock Lodge and Rhino Manor looked nice...

There is the hotel on the dam wall in the village, looked good, when we had a dop there the last time.

You can also stay over in Orania. NO JOKES!!!

The hotel in Orania, is really good and well priced.
Has a spa for the missus, should you want to wet a line etc. Stayed over about 18 months ago, and can recommend it. The only "gripe" was that night the chef had was away, and steak took almost an hour. but otherwise, aircon rooms, pure cotton sheets, etc.

There is a holiday resort right outside the caravan park gates. Its really really basic rooms with a kitchen and bathroom. They are very cheap too, like R250 per room that sleeps 4.I cant remeber who you had to phone to arrange accomodatioon there, maybe go onto the website for Vanderkloof and see if someone still mans the tourist office.Otherwise phone the post office there, they might help.Other than that Pride rock and one or two guest houses is all the town really has to offer.
