I found this thread after my shear pin also broke. It works a charm to make your own. You can buy 3mm brass brazing rods from hardware places. I bought from our local Senwes. Just cut a small piece of the rod to the correct size and your all sorted. One brazing rod will probably make 20 shear pins - and its R100 for 5 rods at Senwes.

G, what does epoxying those holes do?

Bryan, basically the epoxy in the 4 holes keeps the pin in place (shaft) and you can still steer the motor where as if the plastic is broken because of the force the pin has nothing to pull against when the shaft is turning. Hope that makes sense...lol (Not recommended but it sure as hell saved me from buying pin after pin after pin.)

I got my last prop from Mia's in Randburg. Maybe give them a call and see of they still have stock.

The 3 blade Watersnake prop fits Minn Kota as well. Might require an extra stainless washer behind the nut to keep the prop tightly down against the drive collar. Mine was a little loose and tink-tinked under power. Not good for hunting largies.

Solomon's in Pta North had one two weeks ago for R399-00.

A buddy saw mine and was looking for one as well but bought at Mia's in Woodmead. They might still have - if not Solomon's.
