Hi Gents
I did this SBS many moons ago and it works great on spawning fish in still waters!!!!
The Superman
Hook: Streamer x2 Long
Thread: Black
Eyes: Dumbbell
Tail: Orange and Yellow Marabou with flash
Hackle: Grizzly Hackle
Rib: Red copper
Body: Spun Peacock hurl and Cock saddle
Over wing: Orange Dear hair
Under wing Yellow Dear hair
The design is basically the same as the pancora bugger.
Step 1
Tie-in a small loop of mono once the hook has been wrapped. This will stop the marabou from wrapping around the hook.
Step 2
Tie in the marabou tail and flash
Step 3
Tie in the dumbbell eyes and copper rib
Step 4
Tie a noodle with the peacock hurl and thread forward
Step 5
Tie in the grizzly hackle behind the eyes and palmer back. Wrap the copper wire forward to tie down the hackle.
Now the Pancora bugger is done… time for the super man.
Step 6
Tie in the yellow under wing of dear hair just longer than the hook shank
Step 7
Tie in the over wing of orange dear hair and tie off
The super man is born

The dear hair acts like weed guard so it can be fished almost in structure. The fishing method for me has been to fish on a floating line. Let the fly drop. Give it a sharp 15cm strip and let it sink again. As a result of the wing and hackle, the fly pushes a lot of water and suspends in the water after every strip before slowly sinking. It has been a killer! I hope it will give you as many fish as it has for me

Personally I find this patter to be far more successful on spawning fish

Red and in sizes 1/0 to 3/0 are most productive....

Ok guys I have edited the post before I get bliksemed! It is ugly as hell and give the purist a hernia but it works!
