St Croix is calling that their Barbel Black Edition
Saw this today and thought i would share.I love the look of this rod.I really like that they have moved away from a cork grip to a composite type material.I think it will work well for the heavier rod classes. Now how do i get my hands on onelegend-x-main-images.jpg

lol, then it suits me to a tee.I can be their spokesperson
You say it's a composite, hard like a resin or still sponge/foam like in feel?

I wonder how a 10ft Bank Robber would've felt but alas....

Strangely enough when I saw the handle it reminded me of the high density foam that made up my old hockey shin pads. But also looks to be a neoprene look. If it is either of the two then this will be brilliant when wet and for grip.
The high density foam would be soft under slight pressure and then stiffen and mould nicely under high pressure.
Neoprene would have good grip but be too soft I would imagine? I have not come across a high density neoprene so can't really comment on that.
It looks really nice though. I like the mat carbon look a lot.
