Redfish flies

Some very cool Redfish flies here from Gink and Gas.

Sure they would work for other species we are more accustom to targeting.

I love the flies they tie for the Reds, some even include rattles and all sorts.

It really looks like my kind of fishing (big fish, streamers, clear water)

Yeah they are really great, and very interesting. I noticed the other day how much the Redfish resembles our Kob here in ZA.

If you like that kind of fishing I suggest you have a look at Golden Dorado in South America. It looks out of this world amazing!

Have done a bit of that, the viewing, not the fishing, while sharpening my skills on their South African cousins Hydrocynus Vittatus.

If that is your style of fishing, then you should go look at flyfishing for Mahseer, they may not have the teeth, but pitching streamers to massive predatory fish in clear water...

Hey Korrie, no I haven’t yet! I am a bit under-gunned to go fish for seatrout and salmon, I only brought a 4wt over. I am going to have my 7wt sent over and going to build a 9wt Epic when I can. Its tough as hell to get a license here, I am have struggled because a lot of the clubs only speak German because they are run by older German folk who don’t speak any English. I am going to spend more time over the border in Denmark as soon as I have my heavier kit. You just need an annual license and you can fish in many places.

Hi, can give you a name or 3 in the Scandinavian countries that will help you.
know a couple in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Both have excellent fresh and salt water fishing.
For the fresh water your #4 will do the trick. Even for some sea fishing with no wind, it should do the trick
