The DFFA is an open club dedicated to the furtherance of fly fishing in and around Dullstroom. We have around 150 members who enjoy access to a private farm dam (around 5 hectares) on the headwaters of the Crocodile River

Hi Karoo, from what I am told, they presently only have control of Janson's dam on the upper Crocodile. All resources have been pumped into developing this into a premier trophy fishery over the past few years with fish of up to 4kgs coming out now. But stocking is very expensive and a club is only as strong as it's membership. I am sure as it grows, more waters will be acquired along the way. Janson is now established and the club is apparently in a strong financial position for further speculation going forward.

Incidentally, they are waiving the R400 initial membership fee for people who join during the upcoming Bonanza. New members joining over the Bonanza will only pay the annual membership fee of R650 (local members) and a once off R100 for a personal gate key to come and go as they please. Country members (<400km away) pay R300 p/a for the same privileges.

Ah ok thanks chris. I stay in Secunda and at this stage only visit Dullies once or twice a year. I think having access to good waters will probably get me there more often so it is a option. Speaking of the bonanza, what stillwaters do they use for this event?

But seriously Andre, you know me....that's where I will be spending a lot of time, exploring....discovering. A lot of spade work still to be done, making friends with farmers, etc. All the spruits are on private land. Will gladly share my findings with a selected few, by pm of course.
