    Not everything comes down to affordability. It might be simple negligence that he didn't back up his stuff.

    He had backups (none off-site though), but everything was burnt, including his external drives.

    If you look up Troutbum in the dictionary, there is a pic of Rolfie there - that's what he lives for. Gets money, goes fishing Secretly what I would like to be I guess. He is a laaitie, I really don't blame him for this. A mistake he won't make again, that is forsure. 5 years worth of footage gone in a couple of minutes. :-(

    Yeah unfortunately a backup stored with the original is not much of a backup ...
