Default Make-up brushes as tail materials etc

My Sweetipi, gave me a make-up brush to dust between the keyboard of my laptop.
I started looking at this very soft brush and thought that it might be the perfect tail material for fly tying.
I looked at the various brushes, colors, type of hairs and prices.
There are some amazing soft brushes, in a variety of color, at super prices.

For the types of hairs in the brushes

    An example of price

That is a lot of tail material for R61.00

    Colors (a quick google images)
Lots of different colors, different tip colors etc

Not many guys will go and stand at the make-up counter to choose the make-up brushes, so I guess, the best will be to go with missus, and pretend that you are shopping with her, while you are choosing the brushes.

PS: I wonder how many guys will secretly go and test their wives, girlfriends, make-up brushes, after reading this.

The "sable hair" artists paint brushes are by far the best tail materials

I do have a couple of paint brushes, but their hair/bristles/tails are more suited for nymphs.
I am starting to explore the 2 dimensional world of, fishing with dry flies.

I'm With You Korrie. I have also Used Old Shaving Brushes made of Badger Hair. The Ladies Make up brushes have a great feel to them and suit fly tying to a "T." A Good Looking Tail sets a fly off and no fish has complained to this day. have Fun.

Guys, if you have never tried artists brushes, do yourselves a favour and pop into an art materials shop. and ask them to show you the sable brushes.
