Default First fish on self tied flies

Got these two youngsters this morning on flies I tied myself. I only started tying flies recently, so I'm quite chuffed with my catches.

Well done. Your first fish on your own fly is the one you are most likely to never forget. Show us the fly.

    Thanks guys.

I'm really not good at tying, still a beginner.

These are tied with bucktail and hair from my sister's golden retriever

Fish that Bottom one in Hermanus and you are sorted
An honest fisherman is a pretty uninteresting person.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and not only is he hungry but broke for the rest of his life as well.

Very cool mate - nice job!
Nothing like taking a fish on something you created.
Hope there's plenty more for you.

    Thanks guys.

I'm going to invest in a tying tool kit now. Those were tied on a "boer maak 'n plan" way. But now that I've had success I'm going to invest in the proper tools for the job!
