    It is emphatic proof that fish does not get any harm when placed on sand for photos. because the people that know does it, so we can all take photos that way.

    Just like a trout from the Elandspad... doesn't get harm done to it, when you snap its neck back, and put it on a braai grid... still tastes great:biggrin:

    It has been awhile, we should do it again, fresh out of the stream onto the grid, right next to the river, cant get fresher and better tasting than that.
    The smokey taste from the fine bos fire wood, gives the fish the best taste. I wonder in Joburg what wood will they use, next to the river, Bloekom or black wattle to braai those nice big fat SM yellows?

    Charcoal???? I doubt it, they prefer the briquettes. Definitely makes the large SM taste better.

    If you have a split cane rod, they hook themselves, then you can put the fish on the sand for a nice photo before you slag and cook it

    Wonder if muddy souffle would be as good as yellow, probably only with cane

    Only if you lay the fish on the ground so that it can pickup some of the earthy flavours, when cooking a liberal shot of cane
