Saw too many boats to remember Pieter. Sounds like you smashed it though from your trip report.
Beetles were also the fly of the week for us, closely followed by ant patterns.
Out of interest, were you fishing off your boat (judging by your pic) or from the shore?

Fishing from the boat only. Using the trawling motor to stay about 20m from the side. The yellows do not see you on the boat and the eat the fly more easily than wading.
Caught a lot of fish sight fishing for them.
