Does your Hothead slowly sink, it has lots of movement ?

Thanx Jannie it's a 3.8mm Tungsten bead. Has sufficient tail movement the success of the fly relates to the hothead bead, profile and color combinations used. Can use a cone too it's just I don't have any in stock...

What is the sink rate of this fly? The elk hair wants to float and the bead want to sink. So I suspect a slower sinker.
    Still very nice fly

Doesn't sink that fast the bead only weighs 0.5g plus the Deer hair slows it down a touch like you say.
