Always a super bonus if you have really good accommodation on a fishing trip.
Warm shower, 100% cotton sheets and a good indoor fireplace in winter.

Agree 100%. After spending many nights before sleeping on mother earth with sore collar bones the next day, still enjoying roughing it every now and then, these days I love a comfortable bed after a day on the water, warm shower and a good mattress!

It was also very strange seeing Kudu in the area - from Limpopo where I grew up and hunting. The evening we drove back from Thrift 4 cows crossed the road not far from Redcliffe, with many mountain reedbuck in the area, that seemed more suitable in terms of the area and the landscape.

Looks like a great trip! I spend a lot of time in that area but never really get around to fishing too much. Sure there are some submarines swimming around there!
