On the matter of sleep.
You hang your waders and rain jacket on the rope of the tarpaulin to air a bit in the night.
You go to sleep
When you do wake up in the middle of the night, with a big pee, or a very big thirst and you forgot to get some water for the night and there is a is a howling wind, with driving rain, and very soggy ground on the outside, plus a temperature of 4 degrees, you do not want to get up.
You then realize how long you can hold a pee, or stay thirsty.
At that stage I did think about some of my Muslim staff that fast. I imagined how thirsty they must get during the day.

The brown trout was probably the largest of the trip. 48cm to 50cm
The fishing was never easy, but also not the most difficult I have had.
These fish probably see a fly once maybe twice a year.
With the temperatures being so cold 4 to 6 degrees, for the first couple of days, most of the fish where taken on nymphs streamers and wet flies.

In the lakes, we got some lovely perch.
A lovely eating fish, with a firm white good tasting flesh.
In the wilderness area, they ask that you leave all the fish in the rivers and take out fish smaller than 35cm from the lakes.
In this region, there are arctic char, and pike as well, but we did not hook into any of those.

With the cold wet and windy weather, we were very lucky and only had some mosquitoes on the last day.
But we all came very prepared for the biting buggers.

The crazy Vikings jumps into a frozen lake after a sauna.
So the "luke warm" spring water did not deter them form having a wash. On the last morning.

We caught a fair amount of grayling or as the Dutch call them "Vlag salm" "Flag salmon" (I think it is such a lovely descriptive name)

The morning of the last day, the sun came out, and so did the bugs.
It was amazing and frustrating, trying to "match the hatch"
Every 5 to 8 minutes another bug made its appearance on the surface of the water.
You would see rising fish, trying to hone in on the shape/size/color.
Changing flies until you got the right fly, catch one fish, and then it would go quiet for about 4 or 5 minutes with no rising fish.
Then all of a sudden, rising fish, change flies, change flies until you got it right, catch one or maybe 2 fish.
Then the same story, all quiet, for a couple of minutes and changing flies, until you got the right fly, catch one, maybe 2 fish.
