I received a photo from the area where we will be camping.
It is 36 days to go and there is snow everywhere.

    I received my packing list.
Some of the stuff I have to take along, is not even stocked in SA for our worst weather conditions in winter.
and we are going in there summer

Don't go knocking on Death's door, ring the bell and run like hell. He hates it. (anon)

I was forwarded some video clips about the fishing and the hatches, that we can EXPECT.
I have tied more dry flies in the last 8 days for this trip, than in the previous 2 years combined.

    My smallest hooks are #26

Luckily, you can tie them bigger, as I discovered

Show-off, but they will probably fool a couple of those Lapland browns.
Can I place an order? Delivered to address Stockholm?

Weather forecast for the area I will be camping and fishing.

Think I need warmer clothing than what I estimated.

Their summer is colder and wetter than our winter in Cape Town
If it carries on like this, It seems that I will have a cold and wet trip.

I received the map of the area and the hike.
the 2 match stick heads are the 2 areas where the road stops, and the circle is where we will be camping for 5 days.
The hike can be from either point.
With so much water, I guess 5 days, is not enough to fish all of it.

a close up of the area.
From my previous trips to Normay and Sweden, the one thing I am not looking forward to, is the mosquitos and midges.
SWARMS AND SWARMS AND SWARMS of them, gazillions flying all over, biting every bit of exposed skin.
Tabard becomes your best deoderant, aftershave and hand lotion.
