Default Wanting to swop or sell my Stealth Bomber, 5wt, 9''

    Good day to all,

I have moved from JHB down to Cape Town and now have no use for the fast action Bomber. I used the rod 7 times while fishing in the Vaal for SMY's. The rod is complete with original tube and 4 piece cloth cover.
I would like to swop the rod for a decent 9', 3 or 4 weight rod.
If you are interested, please pm me or give me a call. I've never posted a picture before, so will SMS or Whatsapp to interested parties.
For the type of fishing that I currently do, a medium/fast to fast rod will do.

Kind regards and have a great weekend

The bomber would be an awesome rod at Lakies. Keep it.

    Hi Andre,
Correct, I whole heartedly agree. I just find that I need to load the rod at least 1 line weight up to get it to load
So what is a good 3/4 weight for the Eikendal, Lourensford light type fishing?
    Thanks for the advise

    Regards
    Pierre

The bomber loads beautifully at line weight. Its only the first one or two false casts where you get a bit out before it loads nicely. Once you have half a line in the air, it comes into its own. Also remember just because you cant feel a rod load, doesn't mean it isn't loading.
For light bank fishing, I don't really know, as I don't do this type of fishing, but I guess anything from a 3wt up that can bang out a line. I don't think stockie trout are too fussy. Its only when you start getting into specialised applications, which are mainly river applications that I would get too pedantic on the rod, but for bank fishing a stockie pond... anything goes.
