How long did you spend fishing the rapid at the "fingerprint?
Last time I was there, we stayed at Amanzi camp, which is a few hundred meters upstream for the fingerprint, and fished it for full day, brilliant fishing.

We will yes, but will tweak the route a bit. There is just so much water to fish.

    Hi Andre,

Probably 4 hours or so. The pool section above also looks great for some largies. There is a section below King Kong, think it is at "Hole in the wall", some of the best SM water I have ever seen, probably 400m + of riffles and runs. Next time we will shorten the distance we need to row, probably on a different section of river. The problem is, the take out point is the only exit point on this section of the Orange. Another option would be to spend 4 nights on the river.

Busy researching as we speak - countless hours on Google earth

Great report. I'm green with envy and miserable because I'm missing out on my Richtersveld fix this year!
