    Finished some kob and grunter flies for a client.

    Ok, so I'm going to ask. What is the white thing on the prawns? Is the stinger hook for short takes and the white thing just to prevent hook catching on something?

    Hi Bryan,

    That is a prawn oil injected piece of foam for added flavour and attraction ;-)

    You are right, that little hook has hooked me too many times while tying the fly, it is an assist hook.
