Eish bro, lovely stuff!!!
Very pretty! How long does it take to build a rod with tube like that - man hours?
Thanks guys - appreciate the comments a lot.
Phillip - the tube takes some time (especially when you add up the hours I had to learn how to work the freakin' sewing machine :-/ ). The branding was done with a metal cut-out/stamp that I had laser cut and then had to weld up the pieces that were not connected - so that also took quite some time. Had to learn how to work a friend's MIG welder :-/ The caps were quick (after blocking the Besembos from the raw piece) - probably an hour or 2 on the lathe. Same with the Wild Olive spacer.
The rod was pretty plain. All silk wraps in the same colour. No trim. On a dark blank I would have had to go with a bright/light thread in NCP type thread, and it would have looked pretty cheap together with the silk. So there are some hours in there - not sure how many, but enough to miss a deadline or two :-)
