    Talking Senegal

    Hey guys.

    Ime off to the states in a few weeks but have a stop in Senegal first. My hotel is on the ocean and was hoping to get some line wet. Has anyone here ever fished Senegal. if so please share some details.

    Must be some uncharted water for the forum..

    Ile be taking my 9/10 wt with some gurglers and clousers. Ile have a chat with the locals and see if i get something to take my fly.

    Marc is a pretty well rounded superb fisherman, and has lived and worked and fished all over Africa... he was based in Senegal for a few years, and did a bunch of fishing as you can see from his reports above..

    The last link is about catching Springer/Skippies in front of the Meridien Hotel off the bricks so might be worth a look..

    WOW, thanks for the links, cant believe i missed this.

    Ile be there end of september so hoping to be able to report back.

    ime only there for a few days so it will be 24/7 fishing while the SWAMBO is soaking up the sun next to the pool.

    Gambit - Try get hold of Marc if you can, PM him on Sealine or something, and try get direct info from him.. super nice guy, really helpful, and a superb fisherman, he might be able to give you great direct advice.
