does anybody on this forum own a St Croix 10' 5wt?
No but the St. Croix black seems to be on the heavy side there Elite series seems to be much lighter... but you gona fork the bucks for that blank

yeh, i hear you, but then you can decide if you want titanium components to keep the weight down.

who else sells a 10' 5wt blank? just so we can compare weight of the blanks. as far as i'm aware, you cannot get the 10' TFO blanks. they're not available - like their finesse series

Daiwa had a rod with no eyes on. How about a fly rod with no eyes and the line fed through the blank. that should solve it

as a matter of comparison (and i know it's not great)

    Blank -- Length -- Weight (oz) -- Weight (g)
    St Croix SC-IV -- 10' -- 2.3 -- 65.2
    Sage Z-Axis -- 10' -- 3.5 -- 99.22
    Winston Boron IIx -- 9'6" -- 3.25 -- 92.13
    Gatti FRMaster -- 10' -- ? -- ?
    G Loomis GL3 -- 9'6" -- ? -- ?

some are 3pc rods, others are 4pc

if anyone can add to this, please do
