all very good advice.....

I have written hundreds of articles over the years ~ discussing and dissecting various strategies for different times of the year. Only problem is... well actually there are two.

1. the fish dont read the literature.
2. global warming and climate instability make a mockery of all predictions as to what will work , the where, the when , the how & the why.

Only solution is to get out on the water and work ones way through the obvious until something clicks.

So much will depend on whether the spring rains arrive. it will affect everything from water transparency through to temperature. the fish are seldom spread evenly throughout the lake.... if you dont find where the fish are holding, it wont matter what flies you have in your box...
