Here is a hypotheses....
Using the same distance between flies, more yellowfish gets foul hooked in discoloured water then in clear water.

Yup I agree, ( although lately I never foul a yellow ),:tongue:

Keep the flies at least 50 cms apart and all you will foul is the odd muddie..:biggrin:

Dacron is not idea, but a fire line is. I use the thinnest I can find, I think I have 40 pound, not sure, and I take the droppers directly off it, using fluorocarbon or mono for the droppers

My question is are you able to run a piece of Dacron from your tippet to the reel to increase bite detection? For instance a long piece of barred Dacron 14foot and then a section of 4 foot mono 8 pound.
