Lines...I only fish the Scientific Angler "Trout Taper" now. No memory, floats well, it's a "camo" olive colour, And two seasons later it still looks and feels brand new (if you look after it and clean it properly of course).

On favoured rods...most people know my choice right now.

OK.......I took the Cortland 444...nice line! I left the rod! I figured my Guide Series has got so much life left....why go spend that money on a new rod...STUPID!!!

I'm thinking of taking Swambo to go catch some trout this weekend....How's Glenburn or Kloofzight these days?

Kloofzicht is good...but pricey, about R120 per person who's fishing. Worth it though...also nice bass in the last dam. (Albeit not a great idea to be in there). You have to call them and book though.
Glenburn is k@k...the dam in front of the weir has carp...but you must stay there to fish it.

Bass are an alien species and a destroyer of yellowfishes habitat...and those dams run off into the blaawbankspruit river at the bottom of the property. So little bass and eggs can get washed down into the river, where there are good populations of largescale yellowfish. I actually dinno how they got permission to stock bass...my guess is they didn't but plonked them in anyway.
